Lal Tip: the First International Standard Bangla Movie and its first Bangladeshi movie shot in Europe and the first feature written and directed by Swapan Ahmed (who also work as a TV journalist in Europe for NTV and Bangla TV) and produced by Impress Telefilm, the leading media production house in Bangladesh. Laltip, a Bangladesh-France joint movie venture, Impress Telefilm Ltd, in association with Samsung Electronics.
Following its independence in 1971, Many natives of Bangladesh immigrated to Paris to live and to work. Today, they number over 30,000. LAL TIP, Point Rouge is a story of romantic destiny starring Emon as Arnab and Kushum Shikder as Nidhi. The producton schedule was split between Paris and in Dhaka.
The Film commences with Arnab Nidhi in their birthplace and the events that bring them both to the Parisian metropolis. Having avoided the complications of an arranged marriage, Arnab and Nidhi are both swimming in their own Parisian dramas. Nihdi’s dubious fling the whimsical Laurent (Daniel Kramer) and Arnab’s romantic adventures while longing to be with Nidhi . Amid much ado, jealousy and conflicting passions, they rediscover the songs of their common destiny and the unbroken longing for each other the City of Light.
Lal Tip- Film Story:
The film tells the story of a beautiful young Bengali girl named Nidhi, modern in looks and talk, French in habits and heart, who born in Bangladesh and moves to Paris at her childhood along with her family. She had a regular life like other girls in Paris until her family gets her marries to a Bengali boy ARNAB but Nidhi too is equally determined to marry LAURENT, her French boyfriend. Nidhi meets and ask helps not to marry her and to break the primitive system of the Indian sub continent to Arnab who is helplessly and hopelessly in love with his beautiful and unyeilding bridge. On doing this, she leaves behind her family , her home and decide to live with her French boyfriend. Because of the scandals in the community Nidhis family returns to a village in Bangladesh where Mishu, a village boy wants to get marry her and go to Paris. His uncle, the local chairman also trying to create pressure on her family for marriage with Mishu. Arnab, shall he returns to Dhaka to find her? or is he passing his time happilly with his beautiful colligue Liana at UNESCO and discovering Paris in a French way? Nedhi should marry Mishu who dreams to go to Paris after getting marry an expatriate girl?
